I still remember waking up in Santa Cruz after a fun night of drinking to the sounds of Billy saying EVERYONE GET THE FUCK up and turn the TV on... we've been attacked..we all huddled together scared, emotional, mad, pissed, every emotion you can think of. The one thing on most of our minds was HOW could this happen.. and we need to join the military and go fuckin kill these terrorists. I still thank god to this day that my lil brother wasnt up on the building sight seeing. He was planning on going that day with his real mom and some of his korean cousins but if you know my brother, hes reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal lazy and decided not to go...
We take a lot for granted. We believe we are safe in America and that we can turn blind eyes to most of whats going on in the world until it hits us here. Pearl Harbor and World war II was the same thing. Now the Iraq War and the fight on terrorism. What are we going to do with our lives.. Can we really change things? We sit and watch CNN or ABC world news and then shrug at whats going on and go back to our daily routines but what will we do when it hits home again?
I feel sad... i feel sad at this world. I have a good life, because my parents helped to do something. My real father fought in Saudi war, my step father as well, and even my mother at the age of 50 went to Iraq to help the cause.........
damn im ranting...
just feel sad at a lot of things... watching history channel just made me think to much
